Feed the Immune System for the Cold and Flu Season
Our immune systems are smart. The immune system, when exposed to new flu and cold viruses, learns to recognized and react to seasonal strains of the invaders. The system also remembers bugs it has seen before. But we're a mobile society -- each year, world travel brings new strains of germs and virus home, forcing the immune system to deal with new invaders it has never seen. This is why the Center for Disease Control makes yearly changes to the flu vaccine, hoping to predict which bugs will arrive in the U.S. on a seasonal basis.
Ready to revamp your hair color? Let's make a change! Summertime lead us down a course of blonde, blonder and blondest! Though they were bright, flirty, and fun for summer, fall has brought us back to very rich, luxurious pigments with lots of shine. Winter trends will enhance the rich fall chocolate browns and caramel tone hair colors. Single-process hair color with a few highlights seems to be a continuous theme this year.

Homeschooling--Finding Your Way
by Katriena Knights
As homeschooling has become more and more popular, resources have become readily available. From online sites dedicated to getting you started and helping you fill out your curriculum to brick and mortar stores specializing in homeschool course books and other supplies, homeschooling information and resources have gone mainstream.
Getting Started
If you're new to homeschooling, this deluge of information can be overwhelming. The best place to start, though, is with your kids.
Planning a party for the big game day shouldn't be stressful. The atmosphere is casual and the attire is simple (your favorite team jersey); so it's a party you can sit back, relax and enjoy. A little creativity and planning ahead will ensure your gathering is a success.
First and Ten -- Decor
Let's be honest, no one goes to a party for the decorations and most everyone is watching the TV, so you don't have to go all out in this area. Paper plates and napkins in team colors are enough. If you want to shake it up a bit, purchase artificial grass at a hardware store and cut it to size for coasters,

What Every Mom Should Know About Orthodontics
by Dr. Angela Ross
Is your son or daughter still sucking his or her thumb at age 3, 4 or even 5? Habits like thumb sucking, nail biting, and tongue thrusting can lead to crooked teeth. Also, crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain. A bad bite can also cause abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, di

Okay, so we are all in a pinch. Who has found themselves using the almost black-bananas when you used to toss those (just put a little yogurt over them!), and fishing change out of the bottom of your wallet to subsidize that latte? I know it's not just me. Everyone I talk to lately is on hard times and yet when that happens, people inevitably need some things to cheer them up that do not cost a lot of money. This is when good accessories really make the grade.
Can't quite swing that $1,000 Burberry overcoat this winter? Worry Not, Recessionsistas.

by Deb McLeod
More and more, the women around you have features that are creeping back up. That is, the breasts aren't so saggy anymore and the facial lines seem to disappear. Those wrinkles above the forehead? Gone. It's clear that nearly everyone has sought out some form of surgical intervention. Except you, that is.

You're exhausted. Not only have the shorter days and lack of sunshine sapped your energy, you're also wiped out from the holidays. The last thing you want to do is exercise. Yet here's the irony: A new study confirms that just a little bit of physical activity -- even a brief stroll -- will combat fatigue and give you an instant rush of energy that will last for hours.
More Exercise, Less Fatigue
Researchers from the University of Georgia recently took 36 fatigued non-exercisers and assigned them to one of three groups. For six weeks, one group did 20 min
