Birth Pathways- Offers a series of classes that emphasizes labor and birth as a natural process, which focuses on the person as a whole. This 7 week session meets once a week and covers topics like planning, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum care. Private classes are also available. The classes are taught by Amy Pass, who is trained in various different methods of child birth techniques. She uses a combination of methods to fit each mother depending on their individual needs.

The Monticello Big Lake Community Hospital- Offer several childbirth classes, including fast-track and traditional five-week classes; introductory breastfeeding classes and other child safety classes are also offered. They also host a free breastfeeding support group that meets on the second Wednesday each month.

HealthEast Maternity Care- You can prepare for your birth from the comfort of your own home. Take classes and courses via the internet. This class covers the same information as its multi-weeklong clinic class "Preparing for Birth." Several topics are covered and it takes about three hours to complete the entire curriculum. It includes videos, e-mail support and a follow-up session (to learn breathing techniques and have an opportunity to ask questions) at the hospital where you intend to deliver.

Fairview- Southdale- One of the busiest birthing centers in the state, Fairview offers a variety of classes for expectant mothers. The OB Class offers a condensed version of the Birth and Parenting class. Topics include: challenges, joys and concerns of pregnancy, labor process, birth options, cesarean birth, medical care and decision making, breathing, relaxation and labor support techniques, care of a newborn, adjustment to your new role as parents, tour of the maternity unit. There are also breastfeeding classes, Infant and child CPR, Mom and Baby classes, Refresher courses and Multiple Birth classes.
