Seeking Employed Mothers for a National Research Project

A team of researchers at the University of Minnesota is participating in a national study on "The Changing Landscape of Women in America." We are seeking professionally employed mothers who would be interested in participating in a lively, interactive dialogue with peers about the concerns, satisfactions, and needs associated with balancing work, family, and personal life.

Participant Criteria:
- Mother (natural, step-, adoptive, legal guardian) of at least one child 16 or under
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree
- Employed in a professional position for at least 2 continuous years
- Work 30+ hours/week

What You Would Do:
- Come to a 2-hour session at a nice conference room at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul campus
- Enjoy some conversation with other working mothers
- Share your opinions with each other and a team of researchers

What You Would Gain in Return:
Your opinion will be considered by researchers and policymakers at the national level. Although we cannot compensate you monetarily, you will benefit from the opportunity to meet other women from a variety of professional backgrounds who are also mothers and to hear their thoughts and ideas on issues that concern you. Also, if you are interested, the researchers will make sure to share copies of any published articles that come out of this research effort. Your comments will be confidential and you will not be identified by name in any public documentation of the results.

Available Dates (choose ONE):
- Friday, October 26, 2007 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Saturday, October 27, 2007 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Maximum of 10 participants per session
