Bobble Head Friends

You Will Need:
2.75” clay flower pot
Acrylic paints
Brushes
18 gauge floral wire
2 ½ inch Styrofoam balls
Serrated knife
Floral foam or styrofoam
Pipe cleaners
Decorative trimmings
Photos – face shots work best
Old newspaper or other covering to protect your work area

You Will Need:

2.75” clay flower pot
Acrylic paints
Brushes
18 gauge floral wire
2 ½ inch Styrofoam balls
Serrated knife
Floral foam or styrofoam
Pipe cleaners
Decorative trimmings
Photos – face shots work best
Old newspaper or other covering to protect your work area

Step 1 – Remove sticker from clay pot and using acrylic paints decorate the pot
any way you like. (Remember to cover your work surface--acrylic paints are permanent and don't come out of clothing, etc.) Set aside to dry.

Step 2 – Using a serrated knife carefully cut the styrofoam ball in half. (One ball
will make 2 bobble heads)

Step 3 – Use pipe cleaners to create hair for your bobble head--sweet, zany, whatever you like.
You can attach the hair by pushing the ends into the styrofoam ball.

Step 4 – Form the floral wire into a spring by wrapping it around a finger or something else cylindrical-- a Crayola magic marker works great. Leave about 2 inches on each end of the wire.

Step 5 – Push one end of the spring into the bottom of the styrofoam half.

Once your clay pot has dried you can complete your Bobble Head Friend.

Step 6 - Press floral foam or styrofoam into the bottom of the clay pot firmly.

Step 7 – Turn the pot over so that the bottom faces up, insert the other end of
your bobble head spring into the top of the pot into the foam to secure.

Step 8 – Decorate the pot “body” with buttons, rickrack, etc. anyway you like to get
the look you like.

Step 9 – Trim and glue a photo of your friend onto the flat side of your styrofoam
bobble head.

Display and enjoy – create a whole family of Bobble Head Friends to wiggle into your heart!
